Painting is Poetry Itself

Four reasons that will definitely persuade you to start painting.

Robert Delaunay, a French artist, once said that painting is by nature a luminous language. You may wonder why Delaunay referred to it as a language when you cannot even find words in a painting, unlike in poetry. However, the language denoted here is the expression of how the artist wants to convey to the viewers. Simply put, it is the connection between the artist and the audience through pictures.

Painting and poetry are similar not just because they are mainly both forms of art but also because they are able to move their audience. What separates the two is the means through which the painter and the poet create their art. Artists have their own way of expressing their ideas, but sometimes, these ideas cannot be explained sufficiently with words; hence, they paint them. It may be because the artist is at a loss for words or is beyond words in expressing himself, or it may be because the artist would rather want his audience to decipher what he is entailing to convey. Whatever it is, painting is important to people.

Looking at paintings is fun, but it would be more enjoyable and helpful for your well-being if you were the one making the painting. Listed below are the four reasons you should start painting.

You learn to value and appreciate what you consider as most important—may it be people, events, or the environment.

4. Painting is fun! You are not being graded by what you can produce. There is no reason to be scared of doing mistakes, and you can treat those mistakes as jokes. It makes you feel energetic. You will be smudged with colors, but you will just laugh it off. You can even put on some music and dance while you paint. It is fun!

Other people think that painting is just for passing time. Some say it is unhealthy as it is a means of escaping from reality. Maybe there is a little truth behind that. However, people do need something to do to pass time, and escaping from reality is not unhealthy as long as you keep track of reality. It is a good way to spend your free time, and it helps you forget your worries for a bit as you can put your mind on what you are painting. Some people can even think well while they paint.

There are a lot of advantages when you start to paint. It is not just about colors and canvasses; it is more than that. Painting makes you learn how to live better.

  1. Hey would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with? I’m going to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a tough time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S Apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
